Referrals for Therapy:
You may self-refer by contacting us directly, or;
Attend with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from your General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician if you wish to access eligible Medicare rebates.
Referrals for Psychological Assessments
You do not require a referral to book a psychological assessment.
Clients may self-refer or be referred by their GP, Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, another Psychologist, school, or other health professional.
Where possible, we encourage referring practitioners to provide a referral letter outlining the reason for the assessment and the clinical questions they would like addressed. Previous reports (such as school reports, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy or paediatric reports) are also helpful and assist in ensuring a comprehensive assessment.
Following receipt of your referral, we will discuss the most appropriate assessment pathway and provide an individualised fee estimate before your assessment commences.

Consultation Fees
Therapy
Standard psychology appointments (50 minutes) attract a fee of $260. Session fees are payable at the time of your appointment.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible to claim part of the cost through one of the following funding options:
Medicare: Clients attending under a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan may be eligible for Medicare rebates. Current Medicare rebate amounts are determined by the Australian Government and are subject to periodic indexation.
Private Health Insurance: If your policy includes psychology cover, you may be able to claim directly through your private health fund. Please check your level of cover with your insurer prior to your appointment.
NDIS: Clients who are self-managed or plan-managed through the NDIS may be able to access psychology services where these supports align with their NDIS plan goals.
Please note that Medicare rebates contribute towards the cost of your appointment and do not cover the full consultation fee. A gap fee will apply. Medicare and private health insurance cannot both be claimed for the same consultation.
Comprehensive Psychological Assessments
Assessment fees commence from $800 and vary depending on the referral question, complexity of the presentation, the number of assessment sessions required, psychometric testing, clinical interpretation, report preparation and the feedback session.
Assessment services are designed to provide diagnostic clarification and include:
ADHD assessments
Autism assessments
Cognitive assessments (to investigate IQ and may be used to inform a diagnosis of Intellectual Developmental Disorder).

Fee Transparency
Why do psychology appointments cost what they do?
Psychological services involve considerably more than the time spent together during your appointment.
Your consultation fee contributes to:
Preparation prior to your appointment
Clinical assessment and formulation
Evidence-based treatment planning
Documentation and confidential clinical record keeping
Communication with your referring practitioner (where appropriate and with your consent)
Ongoing professional development and clinical supervision
Practice administration, secure technology and professional registration requirements
Comprehensive psychological assessments also include:
Selection and administration of standardised assessment tools
Scoring and interpretation of psychometric measures
Integration of information from interviews, questionnaires and clinical observations
Preparation of a detailed written report
Feedback of assessment results and recommendations
Providing high-quality psychological care requires significant clinical expertise, preparation and time beyond the face-to-face appointment.
Recommended Professional Fees and Fee Reviews
Our fees are reviewed annually on 1 July and may be be adjusted in accordance with practice costs and professional fee recommendations published by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi)
These schedules recognise the time, expertise and professional responsibilities involved in providing psychological assessment and intervention. Our consultation fees remain below the current recommended standard consultation fee published by both professional bodies.
