About me

Welcome! I'm Bethany, a Clinical Psychology Registrar with a particular interest in perinatal mental health and neurodivergence across the lifespan, including ADHD, autism, masking, burnout, identity development, and the intersection between neurodivergence, parenthood, and mental health.

I provide therapy and assessment for older adolescents and adults and have experience conducting autism, ADHD, cognitive, and educational assessments. My work is grounded in a neuroaffirming framework that recognises neurodivergence as a difference rather than a deficit, while also acknowledging the very real challenges that can arise when people are unsupported, misunderstood, or expected to continually mask their needs.

As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman and mother of two young children, I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who may have spent years compensating for difficulties that were never fully recognised. For many people, especially women, neurodivergence becomes more apparent during periods of increased demand, such as transitioning into parenthood, career pressures, or burnout.

My therapeutic approach integrates ACT, CBT, DBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, and client-centred approaches. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, build self-compassion, reduce shame, and develop practical strategies that align with their values, strengths, and nervous system needs.

I aim to provide a safe, affirming, and authentic therapeutic space where clients feel understood as whole people rather than reduced to symptoms or diagnoses.
